Compare Kindles Models DX to Wi-Fi and 3G Keyboard Models

When you compare Kindles Wi-Fi  and 3G to the Kindle DX – both Wi-Fi and 3G models have a 6-inch screen where the DX has a whopping 9.7 inch screen! Even though it is so large, it still does not get hot after running for a long period of time, as most laptops do.

The DX is the top of the line Kindle in the latest generation Kindle. It is the largest Kindle available on the market today.

The overall functions of the Kindle DX is almost the same when comparing Kindle 3G + Wi-Fi to it, except for the screen and overall physical size of the product. While the DX is the largest latest generation Kindle , it still has an impressive battery life of 2 to 3 weeks with the internet connection turned off.

Internet connection is needed to download new books from Amazon.com to your book reader device, but not needed to read books once they are downloaded. On the DX, Internet connection is provided by a 3G connection free anywhere in the world there is cell phone service available.

The Kindle DX is quite a bit larger than the rest of the latest generation Kindle family versions, with a physical size of 10.4 inches tall, 7.2 inches wide, and 0.38 inches deep. The other models are 6-inch screens with a physical size 7.5″ tall, 4.8″ wide, and 0.335″ deep.
